WORLD HERITAGE, during our valuation days in Lyon a Dutchman visited us who had a residence in the neighbourhood for a long time. He inherited 20 years ago from a neighbour this messy lot with stamps but never looked at it and put it aside in the basement, when he read the invitation of this valuation day in the newspaper he remembered the stamps in the basement. We looked at it but it was hard to make a right estimation because there were so many old bags with stamps from all over the World, we saw immediately good material of Great Britain and Colonies but also very good French Colonies etc., we told the man we will put a startingprice of €5000,= and see where it ends, because it is worth much, much more. He agreed and thats why it is in auction now.
