JAPANESE OCCUPATION OF THE DUTCH EAST INDIES: SUMATRA, BORNEO AND THE GREATER EAST, outstanding unusual collection of Japanse overprints, cancellations, money orders and postal stationary. Stamps overprints and postmarks are all genuine. A once in a lifetime opportunity to become a collection like this, total in 17 volumes. A modest description of this fantastic collection is: JAVA: Cancellations of Post Offices on several issues before the Occupation and on the Japanese definitive issues, postcards, covers and money orders with censor marks. P.O.W. and Internment correspondence, totally in 9 volumes. SUMATRA: One large stockbook with cancellations of nearly all the Postoffices on Sumatra(several thousands, with duplicates). Different Japanese overprints, Japanese issues and the Sumatra definitive issue. Many rare items, postcards, covers and money orders including some rare telegrammes. A correspondence between the main Post Office at Boekittinggi to all Post Offices on Sumatra to check time of correspondence, a special Service Postcard was used, only one more similar set known. Several rare stamps commercially used on entires. One volume with Java covers, postcards and Greater East including some rare Postale Stationery postcards. BORNEO & GREATER EAST: Mixed lot with among others different Anchor overprints on blocks and large sheets, very interesting to recognize different types. Last but not least, one large stockbook cancellations of the most Post Offices on Borneo and the Greater East. About 2500 small and large fragments of money orders(also duplicates) with all types of Anchor overprints, Japanese issues and the definitife issue.
