GREAT BRITAIN AND COLONIES, At the very last moment we received this fabulous ÔÇ£once in a lifetimeÔÇØ collection of Great Britain, the Colonies and Islands. Our catalogue had already been finished when this collection arrived. By request of the owner this collection will be sold as one lot in this March auction. So the best possible way to present this to you, is making a seperate brochure with information and photoÔÇÖs. The collection is (un)used/never hinged between 1840 and 1995 with all the Colonies from Aden to Zanzibar. The collection contains many better and expensive items some including certificate or signed copies. In total 41 albums, mainly Davo, collected in alphabetical order and numbered by Stanley Gibbons catalogue 2014. Every album comes with a list of every Country thatÔÇÖs in the album and the catalogue value for every Country separate, the owner did valuate on the basic numbers but there are many extraÔÇÖs like shades, varieties, misprints etc. There are also stamps in the collection which are unlisted in the catalogue. In the collection also some forgeries and fakes which are not counted. Total catalogue value: £1.131.874,=++. The owner brought this collection together for over 50 years. Everywhere around the world he bought stamps, collections or part of collections to build this collection. He only bought on auctions or from well know dealers. The last years he had enough time to make the collection as it is now.
