WORLD, at the very last moment we did received a phone call from France from a dealer in the South of France who did hear about our auction. We jumped into the car and drove for more then 2.500 kilometers to pick up this lot. What we picked up is a stock we never saw before, because it is all Country by Country in a big bag. The dealer who formed this, now retired, was in business for several decades and this is reflected in the tremendous variety of what is here in this stock from the classic period to 2000 issues. Many Countries are there only not France and Colonies because he sold that already years ago. Also not much European Countries but very good part of Countries which are very popular like North and South America, Asia, Middle East, Oceania etc. etc. full with all kind of material. We didn't have any time to view this but the owner give it to us with a "must-sell" instruction. Once back at our office with this lot we did look a little bit better then when we picked it up, and we where very pleased by what we saw. The lot cotains an impressive amount of better material which is good ordered by Country, ideal for a dealer to work out and find out how much it is worth. With a cautious estimation of this lot we came to between €70.000,= and €75.000,=. So we know for sure that the start price of only €2.500,= per box is just a fraction of how much it's really worth.
