GREAT BRITAIN 1864-1879, unused, never hinged Penny red platereconstruction of plate number 71 till 225 exclusive no.77, some with original gum, plate 225 in very clean good condition with original gum, total catalogue value £14.280. The unused plate number set consists of 151 different plates. Rejected due to defects were plate 69, 70, 75, 77, 126 and 128. Printing began April 1, 1864. The stamps were issued and continued through 1879. Scarce plates in unused condition are plates 83, 88, 114, 132, 141 and 225, on 4 album pages, in folder
