WORLD 1840-1965, (un)used/never hinged extensive World collection which we found via via in Safe box, in a bank in Tours(France). This bank was closing, and the bank manager contacted our Agent because they opened all the Safes from people who didn't react to empty their Safe. There they found this collection. The safe box was not opened for over 50 years and all the books were sealed with tape by an insurance expert, because they did count the whole collection in the 60ths by Yvert catalogue. The total catalogue value was in that time 10 million French Francs, now about 1,5 million Euro's. The collection contains material from all over the World with in between better items, we don't think there is now so much catalogue value, but it is still huge.
