THEMATIC BIRDS, a phenomenal collection of only Birds, according to the collector over 95% complete of what there is on birds, collected on type of birds. We received this collection during our Estimation day in Bordeaux, so all is collected in the French language. The collection is mainly never hinged. Because it is collected on species it looks like there are only single stamps from sets but the other values are mostly with another type of bird. Many are collected in glassines on self-made pages and also many looks unused but they are mounted on the sheetmargins of the stamps. The vendor collected it from the begin till a few years ago, also many years bought as new issue, according to him he spend between 100.000,= and 150.000,= on it. With pain in his heart he gave us the collection in sale because he needed the money for another project. We were very surprised when we saw it and our car was just big enough to bring it here. A once in a lifetime opportunity to get a collection of birds like this with almost all stamps and blocks of birds that exist, housed in incredible huge albums, in total 45 albums
